it turned out great. it was pretty tough though. you run down 300 feet of elevation in the begining of the race and then at the end when you are totally exhausted you have to run back up the 300 feet. i missed my PR by 28 seconds. oh so close

i got to start to take some pics from my runs. let you guys experience what i experience. man this weekend all i did was run and sleep. i ran for 2 hours on saturday morning then hiked for 3 at the end of the day. then on Monday i ran for another 2 hours or so. i was totally exhausted and just wanted to sleep. it was the best sleep of my life. naps galore.

i just got back from the grand canyon on Sunday. i ran down to the river with some friends and family. it ended up being 18.4 miles long of a run. it took me 9 1/2 hours to complete. i am still sore and it is already tuesday. it was beautiful and hard and worth every minute of it.

i totally should have. i will probably do it this year when i go back down there in the canyon.
so i did my first marathon 3 weeks ago and i did way better than i expected i could ever do. i ran it in 4:58. i was shooting for a time below 5 hours but never thought i would be able to make it. the run itself was pretty tough. My quads started to seize up on me towards the last mile. it was pretty painful but so worth it. i joined the 5% of the world in finishing a marathon. ;D
