Im voting for Trader too!
I believe Popular aint what it use to be, not as effective. Especially for older members. Popular becomes very useless once Sen.

For a younger clan, with many newer members, Popular is still a good choice. Although Trader is nice too, either one will be good, I think.  |

+20 pack space, and 1 trader skill for every 8 levels.
More trader skills make it easier to run and save a quest.

Yes, it does. But you can get that through the usual guild skill, which can be gotten in the forest.
